Bill From the Job Site: Change Orders and Draws Are Here
Scheduling apps are everywhere right now. STACK has a scheduler, buildaX is crowding in, and everybody wants to own your calendar. Fine. A calendar doesn't get you paid.
Project Proctor 1.15.0 does. You can now send a signed change order and bill a progress draw straight from the job site, and when the owner pays, it shows paid in Proctor and in Estim8 Pro at the same time.
What's new in Project Proctor 1.15.0?
Change orders, progress draws and a live money view, all on the same engine as Estim8 Pro.
Change orders that get signed. Write the change on site, send it, and the owner signs on their phone. The signed document is kept on the project.
Progress draws from the field. Set the percent complete for each part of the work, retainage is held automatically, and the draw goes to the owner with a pay link.
Card or bank. The owner pays the way they want, and the money goes to your own connected account.
Billed and left to bill. The project dashboard shows the contract, what's been billed and what's left, so you know where every job stands before you call the owner.
Your profile, already filled in. If you use Estim8 Pro, your company details come across automatically.
Where does the job come from?
From your signed Estim8 Pro estimate, with nothing retyped. When an owner signs a proposal in Estim8 Pro, the job lands in Proctor with the contract amount and every CSI cost division carried over. Your schedule, your crew and your change orders all start from the number the owner agreed to.
Why build billing into a project app at all?
Because the job site is where you know the work is done, and that's where you should be able to bill for it. Most contractors run jobs out of spreadsheets, group texts and three apps that don't talk to each other. The schedule says framing is finished, but the invoice waits until somebody gets back to the office. Every day an invoice waits is a day the money isn't in your account.
In Proctor, the moment the work is done, the draw is one tap away.
How do the two apps stay in sync?
There's one engine underneath both apps, so there's only ever one version of the money. Estim8 Pro is the system of record for the contract, change orders, draws, retainage and payments. Proctor runs the schedule and the crew and reports progress back. Progress only ever moves forward, so a draw can never un-bill work that's already been paid. Same contract, same ledger, two apps, each doing what it's best at.
What does it cost?
