Project Proctor Launches Supe AI Superintendent and Web App — Connecting Field Crews, Project Managers, Clients, and Subcontractors in One Platform
Data Visualization Consultants LLC, operating as dvcapps.ai, delivers two major product milestones for Project Proctor: Supe, an AI superintendent that answers construction questions in real time using both project data and external sources, and a web application that gives project managers, clients, and subcontractors personalized role-based views — with built-in office-to-field chat connecting everyone in one platform.
SARASOTA, FL — April 14, 2026 — Data Visualization Consultants LLC, operating as dvcapps.ai, today announced the launch of two major updates to Project Proctor, its AI-powered construction project management platform: Supe, a built-in AI superintendent assistant, and a full web application accessible from any browser on any device.
Project Proctor was built by founder Justin Van Wie, a former U.S. Army Corps of Engineers program manager with more than 20 years of experience managing billion-dollar construction programs across multiple continents. The platform serves general contractors, project managers, superintendents, and field crews who need a purpose-built mobile and web solution — not enterprise software repurposed for construction.
Meet Supe: The AI Superintendent
Supe is a conversational AI assistant built directly into Project Proctor, designed specifically for construction project management. Unlike generic AI tools, Supe understands construction language — RFIs, submittals, punch lists, change orders, Gantt schedules, and daily logs — and draws on both the user's own project data and external sources to deliver comprehensive answers.
Beyond answering project-specific questions, Supe leverages its large language model capabilities to assist with quick estimating — identifying material costs, local weather impacts, and material types relevant to a project. Supe can also flag potential risks that could impact project timelines or budgets, drawing on both project data and broader construction industry knowledge. Guardrails ensure responses remain grounded and relevant to construction workflows.
Field crews and project managers can ask Supe natural language questions and receive instant answers without searching through reports or chasing down team members. Supe is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is included in all Project Proctor subscriptions at no additional cost.
"Construction software has been built by tech companies guessing what field crews need. Supe was built by someone who has actually run construction projects — managed billion-dollar programs, dealt with RFI backlogs, chased submittal deadlines. We built the tool we wished we had on every job site."
— Justin Van Wie, Founder and CEO, Project Proctor
Project Proctor Now Available on Web — Bridging the Field and the Office
Project Proctor was built mobile-first for field crews who need to manage projects from a job site. The new web application mirrors that mobile experience while expanding functionality for the office — giving project managers a full desktop command center that syncs in real time with the field. Clients and subcontractors join via a unique invitation code and access their personalized project view on their phone or from any browser, with no setup friction for the general contractor.
The web app supports Mac, Windows, Linux, and Chromebook, and introduces three key capabilities that extend Project Proctor beyond field use:
Real-time office-to-field chat. Project managers in the office can communicate directly with field crews via built-in text messaging — no switching between apps, no lost context. Every message is tied to the project.
Invitation-based stakeholder access. Project managers invite clients and subcontractors via a unique invitation code. Recipients download the Project Proctor app or access the web portal and receive a personalized view scoped to their role — clients see project progress, subcontractors see their specific tasks and deadlines, project managers see everything.
Real-time office-to-field chat. Project managers in the office can communicate directly with field crews via built-in text messaging — no switching between apps, no lost context. Every message is tied to the project.
"Construction projects fail on communication. The GC is texting subs, emailing clients, and calling PMs — all on different threads with no connection to the actual project. With Project Proctor, you send one invitation code. Your client opens it on their phone or laptop and immediately sees exactly where their project stands. Your sub sees exactly what they need to accomplish. No training. No onboarding call. One code and everyone is aligned," said Van Wie.
Availability and Pricing
Project Proctor is available now on iOS, Android, and web at projectproctor.ai. The platform offers a 30-day free trial. A valid email address or credit card is required at signup to ensure a seamless transition to a paid subscription after the trial period. After the trial, subscriptions start at $9.99 per month with no long-term contracts, no per-project fees, and upgrade tiers available directly within the app as usage grows.
Supe and web app access are included in all subscription tiers at no additional cost.
